Spaghetti With Mushrooms

Everyone knows it is important to get your servings of veggies in, but it is hard to do sometimes. Especially when it comes to kids. I had this idea when I realized my daughter had gone a week without eating an actual vegetable....not good.

My daughter loves spaghetti! While I was getting ready to make some for dinner I realized I had some mushrooms that were going to go bad soon in the fridge. So I decided to try something new, and it paid off!

You will need:

1/2 lb ground beef

8-12 ounces of white mushrooms

1 jar of marinara sauce

16 ounces spaghetti noodles

oregano

basil

salt and pepper

Start by chopping up the mushrooms as small as you can get them. Place in a mixing bowl and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Use your hands to mix ground beef and mushrooms together evenly. Brown the mixture in a pan on medium/high heat.

While that is browning, start cooking your noodles.

Once the mixture is browned, drain if necessary. Pour in your sauce and bring to a simmer. Add oregano and basil to taste.

Drain the noodles and you are ready to serve!

This recipe is easy, affordable, and taste great. One of my favorites! My husband did not even taste a difference until I told him about the mushrooms.

Enjoy!
